Central Food Wholesales Invests 20 Billion Baht in Go Wholesale Expansion
Central Food Wholesales, a subsidiary of Central Retail Corporation (CRC), the largest retailer in Thailand, is set to allocate 20 billion baht over the next five years to expand its Go Wholesale stores, targeting growth opportunities in Thailand's wholesale food sector.
Go Wholesale, a membership-based business, will offer a wide range of products and services, focusing on fresh food and ingredients sourced domestically and globally. It aims to become the preferred destination for hotels, restaurants, catering services, food retailers, and other service sector entities.
The company plans to open 43 Go Wholesale stores, with the first one scheduled to open on October 27 in Bangkok, followed by stores in Chiang Mai, Pattaya, and Chon Buri. The revenue target for Go Wholesale is set at 60-70 billion baht once it reaches 43 stores by 2028.
This expansion is expected to significantly contribute to CRC's total revenue, with the wholesale segment projected to reach 25-30% by 2028, leveraging synergies with Central Group's extensive network of department stores, restaurants, and hotels, along with access to a vast customer base exceeding 28 million individuals through the Central loyalty platform.
